I often find good things happen even in adverse situations. What started as viewing a blister on my fascia board turned out to be more than little rot. Gouge it out, put in some undercut and anchoring, wood fill, sand, paint was not the case, it was more major. This leads me to my story, as I drive up to B&M Metals in Murrayville to purchase matching roofing supplies after performing more extensive wood replacement and repair. As many now know Sandra aka (Pepper) has started collecting Roosters. As I turned onto Hwy 52 about a 1/4 mile on the right I notice a sign on an Antique Shop called The Rustic Rooster at Dahlonega. My first thought was on the way back from purchasing the roofing supplies, I will stop and take a picture of the sign to share with her. On the way back home I did just that, and even more, I went inside. I had the pleasure meeting two of the most wonderful people I have met in a long while, Mark and Marianne Quigg. After entering the establishment my comments were how and why the sign captivated me and led me into the business. Mr. Quigg was quick to point out his wife Marianne was the owner and came up with the name. We had a lot of fun talking as I shared the story of Sandra’s Rooster collecting adventures, and now I have become an enabler from the first Rooster purchased for Sandra. Now others have got into the Rooster quest for Sandra by supplying as gifts. As you see in the photos I got her a Rooster sign for her collection. It’s almost like growing up on a Farm again, but only have to occasionally dust these. But if you are ever up that way be sure to stop into The Rustic Rooster at Dahlonega and say hello to the Quigg’s. Sandra is already planning me carrying her up to visit and shop.

Amazing variety! The jewelry is beautiful and they even have a line of natural skin care that is locally made without harsh chemicals. The vintage finds here is awesome too.

One of the warmest, most wonderful people I’ve ever met in my life. Absolutely love this store and the owners, both! Highly recommended for years now. I have sent friends here who were visiting the area multiple times and every one of them has been greeted warmly and treated with respect and consideration. Each one has reported back to me later that I was correct in sending them here and thanked me for doing so! This is one of the greatest gems of the area!

This is a wonderful little store run by good stand up people!

I am a local photographer and I have being using/purchasing many items from this store within the last month! Not only is everything so awesome but so are the prices. You cant find better customer care either! Love it here !!
